Music, Basketball and Swimming

What a weekend! I feel like I say that every weekend but Kylie is finally at that age where she is into everything and constantly on the go. Yesterday we surprised her when she woke up with a new basketball net. We felt the "make shift" basketball net she was using (fish net) had to go! She came running down the stairs and kept saying Basketball Basketball! She is pretty good at making the basket! She is practicing so she can have a little one on one with Godfather Hugo. She knows she will beat him!

Kylie is also fascinated with the family forming a band. Brian plays the xylophone, Kylie on the piano and I am the drummer. She even was singing Twinkle Twinkle! Coming to a concert hall near you La Vida Lum!

Last but not least as promised here are a few shots of Kylie and her new swimming skills. She had no fear in the neighborhood pool today and was swimming along like a fish! We brought all her favorite swim characters: Mr. Blue (he helps you float on your back), Po Po The Frog (he helps you learn to row your arms) and lastly Woody (yep from Toy Story), this is a Kylie addition she feels she needs to rescue him. Poor Woody! He got thrown in the pool so much and sunk to the bottom that the paint on his nose is wearing off!

There is one other thing that happened this weekend that I would be crazy not to mention. Kylie has taken a big interest in potty training and has gone several times on the potty! She went three hours shopping today dry to come home and make it to the potty! She went again after swimming, she is now making an effort. The cutest thing is when she says, The Pee Pee just came out and then I DID IT!
