1st Birthday Weekend!!!

It seems like only yesterday we were in labor and waiting for our little girl to arrive, with a perception of what life was soon to be like. Perception out the door and in arrived Kylie. We remember in the hospital thinking... Why won't she stop crying, why is she waking up so much, what do we do now? Will we ever sleep again? What have we gotten ourselves into?

Kylie has been a true blessing over the last 365 days and we can't wait to spend the next million plus more with her. What was once a sleeping, eating and well .... machine has turned into an amazing little girl. She is a joy to be around and truly melts our hearts every day. She's talking (in her own language), eating real people food, walking assisted by boxes or hands and drinking MILK.

Let's take a moment of silence for our wallets that no longer have to buy a can and a half of formula a week! That is $37 dollars savings. Gallon of Milk $2.50 We love it!

Kylie has no desire to be a baby anymore, out pureed food and in anything she can dish into her mouth herself. No more holding let me go and crawl / walk around. She holds her own sippie cup, reads her own books (and if she doesn't like the ending well she just rips out that page). She is Miss Independent with a smile.

Our priorities have changed, our house is truly now a home and Brian, Kylie, Mac (the dog) and I are one very happy family. Our lives are a million times better with Kylie in them.

To all of you, family and friends thanks for being along for the last 365 day adventure and we hope you ride along for many more adventures to come.

On Friday, Kylie's birthday we took her to Maggiano's for a family style 3 hour dinner. Now you might be thinking we are crazy to take a one year old for a 3 hour dinner but as you can see she kept herself busy and very happy.

On Saturday, surrounded by family from out of town, Gung Gung, Po Po, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Gloria, Uncle Bill, Godmother Dani, Shawn, Aunt Betty and Ralph and a 40 of her closest friends we threw a bash for Kylie. It was great to have both of her Godparents, Hugo and Dani here to help celebrate this milestone. The birthday was complete with customized cakes, cookies and decorations from Aunt Betty and Shawn. Simply amazing work ladies, we will forever talk about them. A bounce house that Brian and I bought for Kylie and some amazing food not to forget the 200 plus potstickers that Po Po made for everyone, the day was a big success and one happy birthday girl!
