We have been so fortunate to have so many amazing people in our lives to support, educate and just be mentors for Kylie. As school came to a close this was a sad time for us as this meant it was time for Kylie to move on to Kindergarten. By the way she considers herself Big People! Ms. Grace, Ms. Ivy and Ms. Jill were Kylie's teachers for the past two years and WOW what a difference two years make. When Kylie started at Park Trails she could barely talk or well be understood, didn't listen and ran crazily down the hall. She left there expressing herself more and being a completely different and engaged little girl. We really owe it to the amazing teachers, friends and technology (thanks AB) for helping her be who she is. I do shed a tear as Kylie won't be going back to this school next year she will start he journey at a Elementary school closer to the house to which she is zoned.
The class did an amazing job for the farewell event. It started with the Three Little Pigs, Jack and Jill, the girls in the class sang Let it Go and the boys sang Jack Hartman's Penguin Song. This was followed by Lean on mean by the whole class with song and dance (I think I am getting tears in my eyes thinking of it) Finally they all graduated.
I know you are saying Tricia it's only PK and I know she has a far way to go. To us this means A LOT, Kylie has progressed so well and now she takes on the next chapter! We are so grateful!
Thanks to my Mom's idea we started a journal for Kylie (she doesn't know about it) and will have each teacher sign it each year. When she graduates from high school we will give her this journal and she can read all about her journey through school.
